Thomas Ng opened Nu Thai Restaurant in June 2004 on Gouger Street Adelaide. He named it Nu Thai as it was another way to say 'New' or Modern Thai cuisine. Since 2004 he had built quite a reputation from his customer. After 10 years of operating on Gouger street, Thomas decided to move to another location. A much bigger place located at 228 Morphett Street. October 2014 was the grand opening of Thomas's new location. It is spacious, modern and creates warm atmosphere for customers to enjoy there meals.
Full of passion in culinary, Thomas Ng creates a pungent and fragrant Thai delicacy. The combination of tradition and creativity give brand-new energy to Thai dishes in Nu Thai. For the last 14 years, Thomas Ng continues a hands-on mentoring, cooking, and management in Nu Thai. His enthusiasm for new creativity and strive for authentic flavours has won him Best Thai Restaurant in South Australia - Hall of Fame 2011.
